We have an opportunity at our corporate offices in Chicago for a Learning Solutions Architect (internal title- Sr. Learning Specialist) on our Organizational Development and Learning team. This is a hybrid position reporting into our Chicago, IL office.
As a Learning Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing learning solutions that meet the needs and goals of our organization. This role consults with internal stakeholders to understand and identify their learning needs, goals, and business requirements then translate those learning programs leveraging technology and learning systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Learning Solutions
- Utilize learning platforms and functionalities; define technical specifications and develop concept of learning program and develop functional and user acceptance test cases and oversee test plans for learning solutions.
- Partner with HR Systems, IT, and/or vendors to ensure learning solutions are technically sound.
- Consult with stakeholders to understand and identify their learning needs, goals, and business requirements then translate those into and present recommendations and actionable learning solutions that align with key organizational goals and initiatives.
- Conduct needs assessments to determine the most appropriate learning solutions and interventions.
- Design, develop, and implement learning solutions that meet the needs and goals of our organization.
- Serve as a trusted advisor for stakeholders, internal clients, and HR colleagues; share guidance and expertise with cross-functional teams involved in the design, development, and deployment of learning initiatives.
- Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs) to build learning solutions that effectively engage adult learners.
- Partner with HR and stakeholders to integrate, assess, and report on progress and challenges.
Operations
- Manage day-to-day operational needs, including logistics and LMS administration, of learning programs and solutions.
- Create operational efficiencies, enhance workflows, and develop and implement processes, procedures, templates, and tools to support and standardize learning system operations.
- Establish, maintain, and regularly report on metrics to demonstrate the impact of learning solutions.
- Drive continuous improvement of our learning architecture and methodologies; analyze learning solutions results, and proactively recommend improvements to implement.
- Manage vendors and processes for the AMA’s required compliance training, including partnering with Finance and Legal on their respective annual eLearning solutions to ensure successful implementation.
- Responsible for reviewing emerging trends, industry best practices, and innovations in learning solutions.
- Conduct research and analysis to evaluate the effectiveness, scalability, and adaptability of learning technologies.
- Ensure learning projects stay on time, on budget, and effectively meet the business need.
People Management
- Lead, mentor, coach, and provide management oversight for staff.
- Responsible for setting goals, evaluating performance, and developing staff.
May include other responsibilities as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in educational technology, learning technology, liberal arts, instructional design, Human Resources, Organizational Development (OD), information technology (IT), or a related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in designing and implementing learning solutions or a related field required.
- Demonstrated experience in business requirements gathering, defining technical specifications, and writing test cases.
- Demonstrated knowledge in the effective application of adult learning technologies and approaches.
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate problems, formulate options, discuss recommendations, and implement data-driven decisions in a timely and efficient manner.
- Experience leading multiple projects concurrently with a strong track record of on-time and on-target completion.
- Strong consulting, communication, problem-solving, critical thinking, and relationship-building skills required.
- Experience with Cornerstone LMS and/or other Learning Management System (LMS) desired.
- Experience testing/validating and integrating SCORM packages on Cornerstone LMS desired.
- Experience with Articulate 360, LinkedIn Learning Hub, Vyond, and/or Piktochart desired.
