What You Will Do
We are seeking a General Manager with a consistent track record of demonstrating hard-working work behaviors and ambition in leading the Supplements global business segments within our Biologicals and Chemicals Division. Driving strategy, investment decisions, and commercial engagements for growth. This requires broad knowledge of business functions and how to harness the teams to drive coherent actions to implement strategy and optimize the P&L performance. This role is based in Miami, FL or Hunt Valley, MD and has approximately 25% travel.
How You Get Here:
The ideal candidate will have:
- Prior experience leading a segment or product line, with at least $200M in revenue and/or a deep understanding and record of success in BioProduction functional responsibility supporting a business of like size.
- Demonstrated experience driving financial results in a dynamic environment.
- Prior experience defining a market segment and carrying out a robust growth strategy, considering various metrics and data inputs.
- Proven track record of negotiating with large core accounts to accomplish business outcomes.
- Demonstrated capability to build and implement a strategic product roadmap development strategy (i.e., a product 'roadmap').
- Demonstrated experience identifying and driving complementary technologies to expand the portfolio.
- Experience partnering with operations and supply chain to drive business outcomes.
- Strong talent management and people development skills.
- 5+ years of successfully leading cross-functional teams in R&D, NPI, marketing/product management, and program management.
- Strong background of driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.
- Collaborative. Able to work across a heavily matrixed environment. Effective at building relationships.
- A relevant undergraduate degree or equivalent experience is a requirement. Preference will be given to candidates with an MBA and/or additional advanced degree.
Additional preferred attributes:
- The candidate will be self-motivated and a driving force of product development in their current or past organizations.
- Experience with BioProduction processes, specifically upstream with media or supplements.
- Experience with M&A and integration efforts.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to achieve short-term results concurrent with longer-term strategic achievements.
- Executive presence; Strong verbal communication and presentation capabilities.
