POSITION OVERVIEW
The General Manager (GM) is responsible for overseeing the entire operation of a top-tier golf entertainment venue, in the heart of New Orleans, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, maximizing revenue, and leading a dynamic team. The GM will facilitate all aspects of the business, including hospitality, sales, marketing, finance, and operations, while maintaining the high standards associated with the 504 brand.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Leadership & Team Management
- Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team, including managers, hospitality staff, and golf enthusiasts.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages teamwork, open communication, and continuous improvement.
- Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations for all direct reports.
2. Operations Management
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring the facility is clean, safe, and well-maintained.
- Manage scheduling, inventory, and procurement to ensure smooth operations and optimal guest satisfaction.
- Implement and uphold standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain consistency and quality.
3. Guest Experience
- Ensure exceptional guest service by training staff in hospitality best practices and addressing any guest concerns or complaints promptly.
- Monitor guest feedback through surveys, reviews, and direct interaction to continuously improve the guest experience.
- Drive service and ensure that the same standards of excellence are experienced for each guest that walks through the doors.
4. Financial Management
- Develop and manage the annual budget, including revenue forecasts and expense control measures.
- Monitor financial performance, analyze key metrics, and implement strategies to achieve financial targets.
- Oversee financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
5. Sales & Marketing
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute marketing strategies to drive traffic, memberships, and event bookings.
- Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, organizations, and community partners to increase brand awareness and drive sales.
- Lead efforts to drive private event sales, corporate events, parties and partnerships.
6. Strategic Planning
- Identify opportunities for growth and innovation within the business model.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to keep the business competitive.
- Implement new initiatives and programs to enhance the venue’s offerings and guest experiences.
7. Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety standards.
- Implement and oversee safety protocols to protect guests and staff.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by law and company policy.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior management role within the hospitality or entertainment and restaurant industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing a high-volume, hospitality-focused operation.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Financial acumen, with experience managing budgets, financial reporting, and performance metrics.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Passion for hospitality and providing a stellar guest experience.
