Medical Director, Advanced Heart Failure
Deborah Heart and Lung Center, a nationally recognized quaternary care heart and vascular care specialty hospital, is seeking a talented physician leader to further develop its growing Advanced Heart Failure program. Deborah Heart and Lung Center hosts New Jersey’s oldest cardiac surgery program and is committed to the highest quality patient-centered cardiovascular care, as reflected by multiple category STS 3 star designation, as well as other quality awards and the highest patient satisfaction scores in the state. Multidisciplinary programs in interventional and structural cardiology, vascular disease, cardiac electrophysiology, and mechanical circulatory support have volumes within the top 10% of the nation. Deborah’s broad CHF program has seen tremendous growth in all areas, including a robust destination LVAD program. An integrated cardiovascular imaging program, with interventional and advanced echocardiography, as well as cardiac CT MRI, supports the CHF program. Collaborative, multidisciplinary team-based care is the hallmark of Deborah Heart and Vascular Center. Deborah follows an employed medical staff model. Physicians are eligible for faculty appointments at Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University, the sponsoring institution for our independent ACGME certified fellowships in Cardiovascular Medicine, Advanced Heart Failure, Interventional Cardiology, Electrophysiology, and Vascular Surgery.
The Medical Director, Advanced Heart Failure will be board certified in cardiology and advanced CHF. The position will oversee current program clinical activities, as well as develop new opportunities for advanced care and growth. Working with dyad administrative partners in both cardiology and surgery, the medical director will be responsible for the program’s operational, financial, regulatory, and quality performance, as well as strategy. We are seeking an outstanding clinician with progressive leadership experience. Collaboration with other medical directors and administrators, and the capacity to work within a matrixed structure are critical to success in the position. A background and/or interest in clinical research is desirable.
