A law firm in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Senior Associate Attorney / Counsel with 7-10 years of experience in commercial litigation, including expertise in trade secrets and restrictive covenant/employee mobility issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various aspects of commercial litigation, including fraud, breach of contract, and intellectual property disputes. Admission to practice law in California is mandatory.
Duties:
- Handle complex commercial litigation cases, including matters related to fraud, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, and commercial leases.
- Manage disputes involving partnership agreements, shareholder disputes, and unfair competition.
- Litigate trade secret and restrictive covenant issues, addressing employee mobility and related concerns.
- Conduct soft IP litigation, focusing on trademark and copyright issues.
- Develop and implement case strategies, providing high-level legal advice and representation.
- Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and settlement agreements.
- Prepare and argue motions in court, attend hearings, and represent clients in mediations and trials.
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy.
- Collaborate with clients, opposing counsel, and other legal professionals to advance cases.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior attorneys and legal staff.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- 7-10 years of experience in commercial litigation, with a focus on trade secrets and restrictive covenant issues.
- Proven track record of handling complex litigation cases, including fraud, breach of contract, and intellectual property disputes.
- Strong academic credentials with excellent communication and writing skills.
- Admission to practice law in California (mandatory).
Certifications:
- Admission to the California Bar (required).
