Overview:
The Chief Information Officer will develop, plan, and help implement an innovative information technology (IT) strategy that meets the company’s business needs, delivers optimal return on investment, and maintains utmost security.
Responsibilities:
- Oversees projects and assignments within the Information Systems (IS) department.
- Leads efficient operation of the team so that prompt modernization and upgrades of IS are performed as needed.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for evaluating, implementing, and managing new software systems, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, seamless integration, and effective adoption across departments.
- Collaborates with executive team members to identify ways IT can assist the company in achieving its business and financial goals.
- Identifies new IS developments and technologies; anticipates resulting organizational modifications.
- Managing our compliance programs with respect to information security.
- Ensures that IT and network infrastructure adequately support the company's computing, data processing, and communications needs.
- Communicates the company's goals, projects, and timelines to the affected departments and plans ways to execute those goals within the department.
- Establishes long-term IS needs and plans and develops strategies for developing systems and acquiring software and hardware necessary to meet those needs.
- Assists as top-level contact for end users in determining IS requirements and/or solutions.
- Ensures compliance with government regulations that apply to systems operations.
- Facilitates and manages developing, modifying, and operating security protocols, including intrusion detection and prevention systems to protect the organization's information from breach or loss.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Excellent ability to conceptualize long-term business goals and develop orderly processes to accomplish those goals.
- Understanding of Newstar’s Enterprise, Sales and Scheduling, Data Rails financial planning, Microsoft 365, Microsoft SharePoint, Document Locator, and Power BI.
Education and Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field is required.
- Master’s degree in business administration, Computer Science, or Information Technology preferred.
- At least 15 years of experience in the administration of information systems and technology, with an increasing level of responsibility throughout.
