Description
The Clinical Informatics Specialist (CIS) is an integral member of the Faculty Practice Group’s Office of Population Health and Accountable Care (OPHAC) that actively provides technical expertise on the automation of manual and inefficient business processes within, but not limited to, the medical group business and finance. Employing the principle of best practices, the OPHAC CIS will architect and implement data infrastructure and associated process improvements within, but not limited to, financial and clinical quality aspects of OPHAC projects and processes.
Under the direction of OPHAC’s Informatics Manager, who reports to OPHAC’s Assistant Director of Population Health Informatics, the OPHAC CIS will improve and maintain OPHAC’s data infrastructure to support financial and clinical quality analyses/reports for various OPHAC initiatives and programs. With a deep understanding of Medical Group and Professional Billing operations, the OPHAC CIS understands all aspects of the Solution/Software Development Life Cycle, which includes specification gathering, design, implementation, user acceptance testing, and production rollout, and will automate manual and inefficient processes when such automation yields improvements in efficiency and accuracy.
As an analyst, the OPHAC CIS will provide clinical quality and financial analyses and report conclusions to OPHAC and other stakeholders. The OPHAC CIS will be the subject matter expert on all internal and external data assets used for financial and clinical quality analyses/reports and will provide insights on these data assets to OPHAC team members. Finally, the OPHAC CIS will be the subject matter expert on SharePoint, SQL, Tableau, and other technical/analytical tools employed by OPHAC to provide solutions and will propagate technical/analytical knowledge to other team members to advance their skills in accomplishing OPHAC program/initiative goals.
Salary Range: $102,500.00-$227,700.00 annually
Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years in the Healthcare industry
- 5+ years in data architecture with strong SQL programming skills (MS T-SQL and/or Oracle PL/SQL)
- 4+ years in building ETL solutions with SSIS
- 2+ years in SSRS
- 1+ year in Tableau
Preferred:
- Epic data model certification
