The Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, a world-class, research intensive, pediatric health center affiliated with the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, seeks a talented physician leader to serve as Head of the Division of Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine. This position will be on the non-tenure eligible track at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor rank, the candidate should be MD or MD/PhD, board-certification and fellowship training in Pediatric Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine.
The Division Head is responsible for leading all clinical care, research endeavors, educational efforts, advocacy and administrative aspects of the Division's work. As the leader of the division, the Division will apply a strong and proven commitment to excellence in delivery of care, research, education, and advocacy. The Division Head will have the opportunity to lead and have impact in the following ways:

The successful candidate will be a strategic, thoughtful leader with robust experience in an academic medical center setting. Candidates should have an interest in faculty and fellow mentorship, as it is a key responsibility in supporting division members' career growth and development. This individual will act as the representative in interactions with Department leadership, hospital administration, external groups and philanthropic donors. The individual in this role is responsible for oversight of divisional operational, philanthropic and grant funding in partnership with the Division Administrator.
The Division of Pulmonary & Sleep Medicine:
The Division of Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine at Lurie Children's is ranked among the top programs in the nation. Lurie Children's Division of Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine treats more children for lung and breathing-related (respiratory) diseases than any other hospital in Illinois. The Division of Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine currently has 12 full time faculty members (9 pediatric pulmonologists and 3 sleep physicians) and 7 Advanced Practice Providers. The Division has comprehensive, multidisciplinary programs in all aspects of pediatric pulmonary medicine including High-Risk Asthma, Aerodigestive, Neuromuscular, Pulmonary Hypertension and Pulmonary Habilitation. The Division actively leads and participates in a myriad of NIH funded investigator-initiated clinical and basic science research efforts in addition to industry sponsored clinical research activities performed through the Cystic Fibrosis Therapeutic Development Network. The Division has an active ACGME-accredited pediatric pulmonology fellowship training program and an active flexible bronchoscopy program. The Sleep Medicine Center at Lurie Children's is accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM). Staff members have unique expertise in treating healthy and medically complex children from birth through 18 years of age, including children with craniofacial abnormalities and genetic syndromes.

Compensation and Location:
Rank and salary will be commensurate with experience.
