Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Staff System Engineer On-Site Supplier Support. This position is primarily located at Canoga Park, CA. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.
What you will get to do:
The candidate will be working with the Aerospace Vehicle Equipment Segment supporting through the Post Boost Attitude Control Module (PBACM) Element, as part of the Post Boost Propulsion System (PBPS) IPT. The PBPS IPT is responsible for the management of the supplier responsible for the design, development, and qualification of the PBPS. In addition, the supplier is responsible for the fabrication, assembly, integration, test, and delivery of PBPS's and other lab, test, ground support equipment, and PBACM fueling services. The candidate will be required to provide regular (daily) on-site support (at Canoga Park, CA) and assist the supplier with the execution of the contract.
Responsibilities include:
Attend supplier meetings, create meeting minutes, coordinate closure of actions assigned to NG.
Coordinate the review and resolution of anomalies, issues, etc with the appropriate NG stakeholders.
Provide status to IPT Leadership on critical activities.
Witness and provide support to key events in development, fab, manufacturing, integration, and testing at the supplier.
Ability to effectively liaison between supplier and company to achieve Program milestones within cost.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math).
12 Years of relevant work experience with bachelor’s in science; 10 Years with Masters; 7 Years with PhD.
Active Secret Security Clearance investigated within the last 6 years.
Minimum of 1 year of experience working with suppliers.
Minimum of 5 years of experience with liquid propulsion systems.
Ability to obtain Special Program Access.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience working on missile programs with liquid propulsion.
Intimate knowledge of SMC-016 and SMC-025 specifications.
Propulsion System Modeling and Analysis.
Familiarity with DOORS, CAMEO, and Model Based System Engineering Processes.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
Salary Range: $150,000 - $225,000.
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
