Clearance: Secret clearance (active ideal; must be a US Citizen)
Summary: The individual will serve as a Program Resources Analyst within the Space Communications and Navigation (SCaN) Program at NASA HQ. The position will support the areas of budget planning, formulation, and execution. Monitor contracts and task orders for cost trend analysis and coordinate with project team members to review planned vs. actual variances and develop and provide monthly status reports.
Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate estimates for the cost of a project by analyzing and collecting information about labor, materials, and schedule.
- Create and utilize cost estimation and modeling tools to better assess performance and costs.
- Prepare financial reports for management and Resources staff to document projected budgets, funds received, direct and reimbursable cost expenditures, and remaining funds available.
- Suggest efficiencies and process improvements for the organization.
- Provide project management support role by generating presentations, charts, graphs, correspondence, spreadsheets, and other similar documents related to technical development activities.
- Serve as interface with center project leads and NASA HQ managers. Provide regular communication with major stakeholders of upcoming milestones and deliverables.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate activities and processes to support key activities and meetings such as project and program reviews (attending meetings as appropriate).
- Coordinate meetings on behalf of the customer, taking notes, and disseminating minutes and actions. Tracking and following up on actions of responsible parties.
- Support efforts to integrate cost, risk, and schedule data, and assist with coordination between stakeholders at NASA HQ and the field centers.
Requirements:
- Should possess strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Strong verbal and written communications.
- Team player with a positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to learn new processes.
- Ability to prioritize work and know how to communicate time estimates when there are competing priorities; can status assignment progress.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel); must have advanced Microsoft Excel Skills, including lookup functions and pivot tables.
- Individual must meet government NAC and citizenship/permanent residency requirements for access to NASA GSFC. Extensive background investigation will be performed as a requirement of the job.
- Some travel may be necessary -- locally and in the US.
- Must be U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain a government issued Secret clearance.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree with 6 or more years of relevant work experience.
