Oracle Senior Director, AI Infrastructure Optical Network Performance - Providence, Rhode Island
Oracle is looking for a Senior Director in AI infrastructure Optical Network Performance in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). We are building the next generation of cloud. Our customers run their business on our cloud, and our mission is to provide them with the best-in-class compute, storage, networking, database, security, and an ever-expanding set of foundational cloud-based services. This is a critical leadership role and you will be responsible for the strategic direction and roadmap. You will partner with other teams to drive new initiatives and deliver new hardware products and features. The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of hardware, cloud architecture and experience leading large organizations.
Responsibilities
- Lead a highly skilled team of engineers focused on performance optimization and innovation in the optical networks space.
- Work closely with Networking teams to understand and optimize Optical network investments and recommend relevant investments while performing in our long-term vision in this space.
- Communicate Optical network standard methodologies and review qualification and validation processes to ensure optimal performance.
- Run and review diagnostic and troubleshooting processes to support our work.
- Ensure successful large AI infrastructure Network buildout and releases based on our AI infrastructure strategy.
- Direct, lead and mentor a team of optical network engineers.
- Stay abreast of new technologies and industry standard methodologies, ensuring compliance and driving innovation within Optical Networking.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the SVP of AI infrastructure.
- Partner with Product to recommend an effective AI infrastructure Optical network strategy.
- Collaborate with key partners to understand technology trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape, crafting the optical network roadmap and strategy accordingly.
- Develop processes that support Optical network optimization for AI workloads.
- Work with executive leadership to develop a robust GTM Strategy and support Product managers launching new SKUs in different regions.
- Define the Optical network strategy and program for cloud compute.
- Establish relationships with industry and research through executive-level engagements.
- Maintain professional working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Define new critical metrics to advise decision making and prioritization.
- Provide regular updates and interact with executive management to influence the portfolio.
- Set goals and expectations for performance and work with employees to establish specific, measurable goals and commitments.

US: Hiring Range: from $142,900 to $338,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
