We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join our Transplant Surgery team at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in a lead APP role.
To be considered for this role you will need a minimum of 2 years of APP Inpatient experience and past leadership or project management experience.
Position Summary:
Works with the Chief Advance Practice Provider (APP) to coordinate daily operations of the advanced practice provider group, ensuring the highest level of clinical practice, quality care, and professional satisfaction are achieved by the service. Functions as a clinical expert and resource to staff advance practice providers. Implements and manages process improvement initiatives and education programs for the APP service. Maintains an active clinical practice in collaboration with a physician. Follows established standards, procedures, and practices and gives specific patient management directions to nursing and other staff. Incumbents in this position may be required to perform all or a significant combination of duties depending on their specialty area.
The work schedule can include nights, weekends, and holidays.
