Job Description.
The Director of Cybersecurity will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our cybersecurity posture, initiatives, and product portfolio. The individual in this position is a thought leader, visionary, relationship builder, has broad and deep technical cyber knowledge, is a strong cybersecurity advocate, and has a network of resources and collaborations that will help further our cyber objectives. Internally, you will direct and work closely with other cross-functional teams to develop, implement, and develop cybersecurity strategies, policies, and products. In your role, you will also directly support our government customer leadership as they work to increase cyber awareness among small- and medium-sized businesses.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical expertise and act as a subject matter expert and advisor on wide-ranging cybersecurity related topics.
- Build public awareness for our brand and cyber products, technologies, and services.
- Attend engagements with government officials to provide technical expertise and briefing support.
- Develop and implement effective cybersecurity programs for internal corporate security adoption.
- Drive development of new and innovative cybersecurity standards.
- Collaborate and align with cross-functional teams to identify market needs and opportunities for deployment of our cyber tools and services.
- Develop strategies to advise businesses and industry on implementation of cybersecurity-related systems and processes, addressing business risks and challenges, and appropriate compliance options.
- Identify and participate in speaking engagements at cyber related seminars, events, and symposiums.
- Publish cybersecurity related content in digital media/seminars/webinars both live and virtual events and classes. Travel may be required.
- Identify and create opportunities to broaden and enhance cyber influence and standing in the cyber community.
- Required Qualifications:
- Must have a strong technical background in cybersecurity, information systems, network, application, and cloud architecture.
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, Cloud Computing, or related STEM field.
- Be able to speak to ATO, NIST 800-53, 800-171, 800-190 and CMMC, PCI and HIPAA standards and processes.
- Be able to advise on the development and evaluation of SSPs and PO&AMs.
- Active certifications: CASP, CISM, or CISA.
- 10+ years of Information Assurance or Cybersecurity related experience.
- Expert level experience with obtaining Authorization to Operate (ATOs).
- Effective Public Speaker with exceptional verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel up to 10%
- Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Cybersecurity or related field.
- CISSP
- GSLC
- AWS or Azure Security certification.
- AWS or Azure Solutions Architect certification.
- Experience with Tripwire, Nessus, WAF, and IDS/IPS tools.
- Familiarity with automation tools, containerization, and static code analysis tools.
