Responsibilities
As a Data Center Lead (Linux) for Empower AI, Inc., you will be responsible for supporting the design, deployment, engineering, operations, and administration of the current and emerging United States Mint Data Center. You will serve as a critical component in meeting our mission of providing excellent services to our client. Your experience ensures an exciting and rewarding opportunity to be at the forefront of providing the Data Center Services required to support the United States Mint. In assuming this position, you will be a critical contributor to meeting Empower AI, Inc.'s mission: To deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions and services that enable our customers to rapidly adapt to dynamic environments.
Highlights of Responsibilities:
- Meet United States Mint business needs as defined by the United States Mint for highly available, scalable, reliable, and secure Data Center Services.
- Provide Data Center Services with features and functions defined and approved by the United States Mint that meet end-user needs and meet United States Mint strategic business unit requirements.
- Maintain data centers and processes that pass federal information security audits.
- Provide Services that can leverage operational scale and best practices to achieve optimum performance:
- Alignment to IT Service Management (ITIL v4 or similar) principles
- Focus on proactive monitoring.
- Reducing single points of failure in the Data Center environment.
- Provide administrative, operational, and management support.
- Support the technology direction of the United States Mint.
- Provide On-Call escalation support for the 24x7x365 Service Desk.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- ITIL 4+ Foundation Certification and MCA Microsoft Azure Admin.
- Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA).
- Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation.
- Must obtain Red Hat Certified Specialist in Satellite Administration within six (6) months of onboarding.
- Minimum 15 years data center services experience.
- Practical skills, experience and training leading the design, configuration, deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting of data center hardware and software including but not limited to Linux Red Hat, patching, satellite, and Ansible system.
- Provide key support for DR Exercise and FISMA Audit.
- Ability to keep sensitive and confidential material private.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree Information Systems/Relevant Field.

- Ambulate between several buildings.
- Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required.
