Position Overview
The Manager, IT EPIC Application - Ancillary and Inpatient is responsible for overseeing the technology resources that support the clinical, corporate, and ancillary systems that are critical. This role involves managing and coordinating staff to analyze business requirements and workflows, ensuring the development, integration, and implementation of comprehensive system solutions for IT customers. This includes responsibilities in data collection, integration, analysis, and reporting, with a focus on providing optimal and timely application support that aligns with organizational needs and resource allocation.
The Manager also serves as a Project Manager for initiatives as assigned, working closely with the IT Department to ensure technological consistency and compatibility across systems. Additionally, this role represents on relevant committees at the county, state, and national levels.
Qualifications
Education:
- Associate degree or higher in a technology-related field preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an IT or clinical role, with demonstrated expertise in managing multiple complex system implementations within a healthcare setting.
- Experience in ASAP, Orders, Cupid, Radiant, and ClinDoc
- Experience with networks, CAD systems, databases, and RF equipment is preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in ambulance services is preferred.
- Education or experience in process improvement techniques, change control, and project management is also preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proven leadership, communication, organizational, and management skills, with a strong focus on Total Quality Management.
