We are currently looking for qualified candidates for our Clinical Panel Manager role. This position reports to the Director of Population Health & Quality Improvement and is a Regular, Full Time, Exempt role with a starting annual salary range of $82,600 to $90,900 with full benefits.
Primary Objective:The Panel Manager will be responsible for the effective management and coordination of patient panels to ensure balanced patient care across all providers. This role includes assigning and reassigning patients to primary care providers, continuous monitoring of panel capacity, and ensuring equitable distribution. The Panel Manager will interact directly with patients, clinicians, and staff to enhance patient care delivery and satisfaction.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities- Assign and manage patient panels to ensure balanced distribution among primary care providers.
- Coordinate patient assignments and reassignments during provider onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Monitor panel capacity and manage the opening and closing of panels as needed.
- Generate, manage, and analyze reports related to panel complexity, load, and patient visit data.
- Communicate panel status and changes across the organization.
- Support primary care providers in proactive patient care through dedicated time for panel management activities.
- Coordinate with outreach staff to ensure effective patient follow-ups and engagement.
- Utilize healthcare IT systems to identify and address gaps in patient care.
- Provide training and support to staff on panel management processes and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies.
- Manage provider templates in Epic, including opening and closing templates.
- Collaborate with operations and medical teams to manage and update provider templates effectively.
- Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications- BA/BS in Public Health, Business Administration, Health Policy, or related field.
- Experience working in a managed care setting.
- Commitment to the populations served by Mission Neighborhood Health Center.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and prior Epic EMR experience required.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology.
- Ability to work independently, handle high volume and multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional attitude toward patients, providers, and coworkers.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience working with community health centers.
- 3 years of medical assisting experience.
- Experience in a leadership role (lead, supervisor, manager).
Confidential and Sensitive Information- Maintain the highest degree of confidentiality and compliance with all relevant state and federal regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
Language(s)- Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred, but not required.
