Position Overview:
This position is for a Software Engineer on the C2BMC program Enterprise Services Team.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for software development in the Java language.
Perform in-depth analysis and technical support of systems software products, including complex problem resolution, design, development, testing, operational integration, and user support.
Maintain, debug, and configure related software products.
Works from specifications to develop or modify operating systems applications.
Assists with design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging, and documentation of programs.
Interfaces with other system support groups to resolve problems, set standards, and improve the overall efficiency of the operating system.
Designs, codes, tests, and implements tools for operations automation.
Works on most phases of software systems programming applications and may require instruction and guidance.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
Experience developing enterprise applications.
Familiarity with Java foundation classes and toolkits.
Knowledge of server-side/database development and computer system administration.
Experience working as part of an Agile team.
Use common software development and management tools, such as GitLab, Nexus, JIRA, Confluence, Maven or Gradle, and Eclipse.
Understanding standard system engineering design artifacts such as Use Cases and SysML diagrams.
Strong problem-solving skills, including reviewing performance issues, identifying root causes, and recommending and developing a solution.
Experience with Risk Management Framework/STIG/Fortify/SonarQube mitigation.
Basic Qualifications:
An active Secret clearance is required to start.
5 years with a Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or a related field; 3 years experience with a Master’s degree in software engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or a related field.
Must possess a DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA).
Software engineering and software development with Java/JEE experience.
Must have experience and knowledge of basic software practices such as coding standards and configuration management.
Command and control system application development.
Experience developing software for Unix/Linux and Windows platforms.
Experience with Software Integration testing, including developing automated test scripts.
Ability to work independently and possess the poise and flexibility required to work in a highly dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Flexibility and willingness to take on unanticipated tasks is highly desirable.
Automated test and pipeline development experience is desired.
Test-driven development is desired.

Salary Range: $97,500 - $146,300
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
