Position Summary
The Multi-Cloud Solutions Architect will design, implement, and manage comprehensive cloud solutions across multiple cloud platforms, including AWS and Azure. This role supports government contract work to develop a repeatable process for workload migrations and management in a multi-cloud environment, focusing on cost and performance optimization.
The Solutions Architect will collaborate with various teams to integrate cloud strategies, ensure security, scalability, and performance, and provide thought leadership to support the development of RavenTek's cloud capabilities. The performance of this position is key to RavenTek’s performance on our contract, and therefore RavenTek’s mission to support the customer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Design and implement multi-cloud architectures that align with business objectives and requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud solutions into existing systems and processes, including SecDevOps Application Pipeline integration, and IaC implementation.
- Ensure cloud solutions are secure, scalable, and performant.
- Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure and application roadmaps.
- Provide expertise on cloud migration projects, including planning, execution, and post-migration support.
- Monitor and optimize cloud resource usage and costs.
- Create and maintain documentation for cloud architecture and implementations.
- Stay current with the latest cloud technologies and best practices.
- Develop and deliver training sessions on cloud technologies to internal teams.
- Travel to the DMV area for work on-site at least 4 days a month.
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Critical Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exemplary leadership skills to guide and mentor cloud engineers.
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure issues.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
Education & Work Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- A Master’s degree is preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in cloud architecture and engineering.
- Proven experience with multi-cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
- Experience with DOD Cloud Environments.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM Templates.
- Experience in designing and managing cloud solutions for enterprise environments.
Certifications, Licenses:
- Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect).
- Additional relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Certified DevOps Engineer).

- Secret clearance required.
Work Environment
Employee will be working indoors in an office environment with other people. Potential moderate temperature fluctuations. Typical indoor and computer related noise level, and typical office, paper, and equipment related dust.

To successfully perform the essential functions of the job, the employee needs to be able to sit at a workstation for extended periods; use hand(s) to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear; see to read printed materials and computer screens; mobility to work in a typical office setting. Ability to work on desktop or laptop computer for extended periods of time reading, reviewing/analyzing information, and may be required to provide recommendations, summaries and/or reports in written format. Must be able to effectively communicate with others verbally and in writing. Employee must be able to lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically up to 20 pounds. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
