Position Summary
What you'll do...
- Leads development and management of proto work for Supply Chain facilities. Manages proto support for key initiatives by the Industrial Design and Construction team. Collaborates with leaders to develop proto strategy and design elements for mass implementation.
- Provides oversight of the proto program implementation, rollout, and proto group progress including leading and directing consultants for development of all key proto items.
- Leads proto meetings involving all key stakeholders that are strategic to meeting overall goals.
- Directs cost estimation and supports new capital facility evaluations and development programs, ensuring budget compliance and supporting project stakeholders.
- Provides cost guidance and predictions to senior leadership by analyzing construction costs and industry trends.
- Presents key updates to leadership and partners, observes program trends, and develops cross-functional design solutions.
- Communicates business strategy and strategic vision to the architecture team, improving workflow processes.
- Develops strategies for attracting and maintaining a skilled workforce, including recruitment, selection, development, and mentorship.
- Ensures adherence to company standards of integrity and ethics and directs prototypical design adaptations.
- Leverages partnerships and networks to achieve business goals and ensures safety and integrity of supply chain assets and projects. Develops ways of working thru coordination with cross functional teams, securing leadership and support group buy-in, communicating and training for the team and other impacted groups.
- Serves as a team lead and/or subject matter expert that supports other WM Business initiatives, to consult with and provide direction to their project specific needs, while keeping leadership up to date.
- Seeks and implements opportunities within the program to develop or refine process that optimize procedures, reduce time, while providing better consistency.
- Manages a portfolio of design elements projects from inception to implementation, with overall responsibility for scope, schedule and budget related to each proto item.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering or related building engineering field, or related industrial development design fields and 3-5 years' experience in warehouse site development, building design, and construction management OR 8-10 years’ experience in other site development, building design, and construction management.
- 3-5 years’ experience in program and project management.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Architecture, or a related field and 5 years’ experience in retail store design, or a related area OR 7 years’ experience in retail store design, or a related area.
Preferred Qualifications
Project Management, Supervising Associates, Masters, Architectural Services - CADD - Certification
