The Opportunity: We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Systems Architect to lead the planning and development of a new industrial refining and chemicals complex. This role demands a Subject Matter Expert (SME) level of proficiency in telecoms, security, and IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in systems architecture, design, and implementation for large-scale industrial projects.

Responsibilities:
- Systems Architecture: Lead the architectural planning and design of IT, telecoms, and security systems for a new industrial complex.
- Data Center Design: Oversee the design, specification, layout, and planning of new data centers, including assessing application/server requirements.
- Cloud vs. On-Site Deployment: Evaluate the deployment of ERP and other plant manufacturing applications, comparing hosted cloud solutions with on-site data centers, and conduct CAPEX vs. OPEX cost evaluations.
- Fiber Optic and Structured Cabling Systems: Design, specify, estimate, and plan the implementation of outside plant fiber optic cabling systems and structured cabling systems across 50+ buildings.
- Telecom Systems Implementation: Design, specify, estimate, and plan telecom systems, including network management, plant radio, mobile GSM, videoconferencing, transmission systems, CATV, industrial WiFi, meteorological systems, PAGA, process CCTV, and RFID.
- Security Systems Implementation: Design, specify, estimate, and plan security systems, including security access control systems, license plate monitoring, intrusion detection, long-range detection & assessment systems.
- Cybersecurity: Implement robust cybersecurity measures for the entire infrastructure.
- Compliance: Ensure all designs and implementations adhere to industry standards.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in systems architecture for large-scale industrial projects.
- Proven track record in the design and implementation of data centers, telecom, and security systems.
- Strong expertise in evaluating cloud vs. on-site deployment options.
- Comprehensive knowledge of fiber optic and structured cabling systems.
- In-depth understanding of cybersecurity measures for industrial environments.
- Excellent project management and leadership skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70.00 - $90.00 per hour
