Position Overview:
Asset Management Service Delivery organization is looking for a Technical- Application Service Delivery Leader, responsible to oversee Front and Middle Office Operations and Trade Desk within NTAM technology space. The areas of operation include Liquidity/Fixed Income/Equities and Index Platform. The eligible candidate is expected to have a client-centric focus and background/experience in above mentioned domain along with experience of Portfolio Construction and Asset Allocation.
Asset Management Platform (Liquidity, Fixed Income/Equities/Index Platform) is going through an extensive modernization moving from On-prem infrastructure to Cloud Technologies for both Self-Serve Analytics and operational runtime needs. The modernized platform needs to be equipped with self-service capabilities and automated infrastructure operations to enhance Service Delivery experience and organizational efficiency.
Minimum Requirements:
- 15+ years of experience in a technical business facing (face to face) role within a financial institution or similar preferred.
- 5+ Years of Trade desk experiences including working with Portfolio managers and Traders to resolve day to day operational and technical issues.
- Experience working with Portfolio managers and Traders in Asset Management or similar investment management domain.
- Minimum 7 years of working knowledge of trade life cycle, include Liquidity/Fixed income/Equities and Index platform.
- Demonstrated leadership and cross functional collaboration experience.
- Excellent knowledge of Liquidity/Fixed Income/Equities/ Municipal bond securities and Index Platform.
Skills/Experience:
- 10+ Years of Management roles with exposure of Global Delivery model.
- Expertise in technologies like Oracle, Java, React JS and cloud technologies like Azure, Snowflake and Azure Synapse.
- Experience in configuration, maintenance, and optimization of on prem and cloud data solutions (Oracle, Data Stage, Azure/ Synapse), Cloud Infrastructure and Data Workloads.
- Extensive knowledge of application development and support processes, usually having experience with multiple system technologies.
- Strong domain knowledge and experience working with a wide range of Financial Services / Asset Management technology platforms.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Act as a liaison between Business and Technology to identify operational pain points and ensure to address them with Engineering counterparts or within Service Delivery team.
- Work with Portfolio Managers and Traders on their day to day trading and application challenges.
- Build relationship with Business stakeholders to understand the operational gaps and ensuring they are solutioned.
- Partnering with DEV engineering solution architects and engineers to understand new solution designs (On prem and cloud) and working with DEV SMEs to understand the gaps and identify automation opportunities.
- Ensure solutions built are risk resilient.
- Ensuring there are robust patterns and frameworks established for data ingestion, consumption etc.
- Providing Service Delivery leadership and oversight to the on prem Oracle DBAs, Cloud Engineers, and DevOps engineers.
- The platform is scalable for large amounts of data ingestion and processing without service degradation.
- Processes are built for monitoring and optimizing performance.
- Data masking is in place in all non-production environments using enterprise tools and partnering with other enterprise teams.
- Engaging in high level break/fix support during disaster recovery scenarios and assist with Production issues when higher level analysis is required.
- Working closely with architects and enterprise stakeholders to ensure solution alignment with best enterprise practices.
- Performance management of the staff and maximizing the effectiveness by building strong team/technical competencies.
- Recruiting, developing, and mentoring high performing and diverse teams across various workgroups. Promote teamwork in problem resolution. Foster an environment of open discussion, learning and process improvement.
