Position Summary

The Clinical Director Family & Internal Medicine provides strategic planning, clinical and administrative support and oversight of the daily operations of ambulatory family medicine services at Oceanside, primary care services in Hempstead, and internal medicine services offered in the Long Beach site. Responsibilities include budgeting, human resource management, regulatory and performance improvement oversight, service excellence, and daily operational oversight. Duties include collaboration with and oversight of the respective residency coordinators and site supervisors, to assure optimal daily operations, clinical excellence, and assurance of patient, family and team engagement.

Qualifications

Education Required

Must complete in-house orientation program
Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Professional Nursing
Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration or related field preferred

Experience And Skills

Speaks, reads and writes English
5-10 years administrative/management experience in healthcare environment; working knowledge of regulatory agency standards
Knowledge of nursing scope of practice, clinical practice guidelines
Previous program development, budget, and finance experience
Must demonstrate strong analytic & problem-solving ability
Must demonstrate strong service excellence skills; patient focused & team engagement
Ability to foster strong relationships with physicians
