Spero Health is seeking a Medical Director to join our Tennessee team!
This part-time administrative position is for a Medical Director to join our team to help us fulfill our mission to "Saving Lives, Instilling Hope, and Restoring Relationships".
Our Medical Director will provide clinical oversight to a group our clinic teams that are providing care to our patients across the State of Tennessee through an evidenced-based integrated care model that combines both physical and behavioral healthcare services under one roof to treat the whole patient.
We offer medical care along with counseling and case management within our facilities in order to bring the most comprehensive level of care to the patients that we serve, while our community-based approach to treatment allows patients to continue working and caring for their families as they overcome addiction.
Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide supervision of all medical staff at a clinic facility and the administration of all medical services at the clinic facility, including compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations regarding the medical treatment of opioid use disorder.
- Provide collaboration, supervision, and clinical oversight to nurse practitioners.
- Serve on the clinic facility’s Clinic Governing Board.
- Maintains required licensure, certifications, and CME credits.
- Review and oversee patient progress and treatment plans, including chart reviews.
- Willing to travel in Tennessee and be physically present in clinic facilities as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Active and unrestricted license to practice medicine or osteopathy as a physician in Tennessee.
- Current, active DEA licensure and prescriptive authority in Tennessee.
- Ability to work on-site with diverse care teams in a variety of settings.
- Effective time management and communication skills.
- Computer literate and experience with Electronic Medical Records.
