Job Summary and Qualifications
The High-Risk Oncology Nurse Navigator functions as a member of the multidisciplinary team and serves as an advocate and educator for high-risk and breast imaging patients requiring follow-up or additional procedures, from screening through to diagnosis.
The primary function is to ensure the patient has access to imaging and high-risk support resources and remains compliant with the personalized treatment plan. High Risk Oncology Nurse Navigators achieve this goal by building relationships with patients and physicians, coordinating the plan of care, assisting with various appointments, providing education and resources, and representing the patient within the multidisciplinary care environment.
What qualifications you will need:
- Registered Nurse
- Experience in high-risk women’s program
- Experience as a Coordinator and/or patient educator
- Experience in mammography and breast imaging modalities
- Experience in customer service
- 1-5 years imaging experience
