Primary Responsibilities:
- Review and provide feedback on code, design documents, and technical specifications
- Collaborate with product managers to align on project goals and timelines
- Attend strategic planning meetings with senior leadership to discuss long-term technology roadmaps and resource allocation
- Mentor and coach team members, providing guidance on career development and technical skills
- Conduct one-on-one meetings with direct reports to discuss performance and professional growth
- Oversee the implementation of new features and ensure they meet quality standards and deadlines
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (e.g., QA, DevOps, UX/UI) to ensure seamless integration and deployment of software
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation within the team
- Review project metrics and KPIs to assess the health and progress of ongoing projects
- Prepare and present technical reports and updates to stakeholders
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- 10+ years of experience in Java, Python, React and Spark
- 5+ years in cloud computing platforms (Azure, AWS or Google Cloud)
- Proven track record of managing and delivering complex software projects on time and within budget
- Proven excellent understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum
- Proven exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound technical decisions
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and cross-geo teams
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience in talent acquisition and management, including hiring, onboarding, and retaining top engineering talent
- Experience in a specific industry (e.g., fintech, healthcare, e-commerce) relevant to the company’s domain
- Experience in a startup or fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
- Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and stay ahead of industry trends
