Essential Functions:
- Must report in on-site at our Chicago office location 4 days a week.
- Innovate and lead development of new product concepts and service offerings in targeted categories.
- Manage marketing programs to introduce the new product and service offerings to the sales organization, the targeted customer base and the market to achieve sales goals.
- Develop marketing strategies, customer value propositions and support programs that will elevate the perception of NWF as an innovative supplier.
- Recommend and coordinate efficient use of marketing resources and technologies to meet organization needs.
- Maintain a clear understanding of NWF’s capabilities and how they provide relevant support for industry and specific customer expectations & requirements.
- Create and manage product/service marketing plans including strategy and positioning, market research, competitive analysis and market share assessment.
- Provide the sales organization with leadership and effective marketing support including sales tools, training, administrative support and problem solving capability.
- Lead coordination and participation in customer product and trend presentations as well as trade show exhibitions.
- Perform other duties and/or handle additional projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must have experience in marketing in the food industry.
- Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing/Advertising or Business Administration with substantial real life marketing function experience.
- Demonstrated experience and abilities in marketing food products that can include B to B ingredients, commercial food service, consumer brand/product management and other related segments.
- Minimum of 10 years business experience that included leadership involvement in market research, segmentation and positioning, product development, business development, strategy development and project and program management.
- Up to 25% domestic travel typical.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities that include establishing strategic direction, delivering results through wide organizational involvement, and maintaining a strong customer focus.
- Strong verbal & written communication skills, analytical abilities, organization skills and strong knowledge of Adobe applications, Microsoft Office and Lotus Notes.
Work Environment: General office setting.
