What you'll do in the role:
- Leadership and Management:
- Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers, including specialists, physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, and other clinical staff.
- Play a critical role in the recruitment, interviewing, onboarding and training of our new clinicians as we scale our team to support more partners and patients.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the care team.
- Process Optimization:
- Oversee and continuously improve the “process of care” to enhance patient outcomes, identify areas of opportunity, and work in partnership with other leaders to optimize the provider tools and processes (ex. Grand Rounds) to improve patient satisfaction.
- Ensure the utilization of P&T related tools and algorithms in patient care.
- Quality and Outcomes Monitoring:
- Monitor and analyze patient outcomes to identify areas for improvement on a patient level or recommend areas for improvement within our protocols.
- Work with the National Medical Director to develop and implement strategies for process and protocol improvements.
- Work with the care team to identify and close care gaps for patients, including optimizing our process and monitoring progress.
- Patient Care:
- Provide direct patient care 10-20% of the time to maintain clinical expertise and understand frontline needs.
- Ensure patient care is aligned with the organization’s protocols and standards.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless care delivery across all AndHealth Services, including comprehensive disease management and specialty care.
- Work with external partners to ensure our care processes are in alignment with expectations.
- Represent the care team in meetings and planning sessions.
Education & Licensure Requirements:
- MD or DO degree with active and unrestricted license in internal medicine.
- Minimum of 10 years of clinical experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of putting the patient first in decision making.
- Proven experience and success in managing and leading healthcare teams.
- Systems thinker, with strong understanding of care processes, quality improvement, and patient outcomes monitoring.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a belief in developing teams and investing in employee growth.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders and maintain fast pace while implementing and driving change in processes.
Other Skills or Qualifications:
- Experience working with Community Health Centers, and in a managed care environment a plus.

Additional Requirements:
- (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months.
- (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity.
- Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving.
- Hep B3 Series.
- (Flu) Influenza required.
- COVID Vaccine required.
- Additional health requirements may also be required.
