Monmouth Family Health Center, a Federally Qualified Health Center, is looking for a medical director for our practice located in Long Branch, NJ. The ideal candidate will be a NJ board certified physician. The duties will include:
- Recruit, supervise and evaluate clinical performance of all clinical practitioners including internists, family practitioners, OB/GYN physicians, nurse midwives, pediatricians, specialists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and registered nurses.
- Ensure the integration and coordination of services by establishing consistent and high-quality consultation mechanisms with non-primary disciplines essential to the care of patients.
- Supervise and coordinate clinical in-service training programs for staff.
- Establish and coordinate services with other medical facilities to ensure the continuity of care of the Center’s patients.
- Establish and maintain medical policies and procedures for all areas of medical practice.
- Oversee the Center’s quality improvement program including chart audits, peer reviews, clinical measure reviews. Report to the Board of Directors’ Quality Improvement Committee the results of these reviews on a quarterly basis.
- Monitor patient utilization, medical staff productivity and patient flow. Make recommendations for improvement to the Chief Executive Officer and teaching coordinator.
- Oversee the scheduling of medical personnel.
- Participate in overall program planning to ensure coordination and integration of all services.
- Establish, implement and monitor adherence to basic medical requirements for OSHA, infection control, NJ Department of Health, HIPAA, and other governmental/non-governmental regulatory and accrediting agencies.
- Maintain admitting privilege at the local hospital.
