Manager IT Solutions- Technical Delivery
The IT Service Owner is responsible for representing assigned technology service(s) to the rest of the organization and managing a team of technical resources in delivery and collaborating on the strategy. Performs technology management, operations management and working with Product Owners and/or Business colleagues for the services in scope. Partners with the Service Manager on maintaining Total cost of ownership and identifying future resourcing needs.

What the days will look like
Drives continuous improvement using standard processes and providing thought leadership for operational efficiency.
Cross-team partnership and collaboration including Portfolio sprint planning, Quarterly planning, Scrum of Scrums.
Responsible for leading team(s) that deliver services aligned to the Aon and Affinity technology strategy and owns the service(s) across the organization.
Responsible for all aspects of the service lifecycle, even if parts are managed by others within Aon Technology such as technology service & assets operations, operations management and client management for services in scope.
Responsible for leading projects within established budget and timeline that drive technology life cycle, product functionality, and service improvements, often in partnership with Product Owners.
Identifies root causes of service failure and finds opportunities for improvement.
Ensures performance of the service meets standard requirements.
Manages delivery and lifecycle of services for business strategy development within a region or function.
Engages with clients and stakeholders during review sessions and provides regular status updates as needed.
Engages in supplier service reviews including review of metrics and SLAs for both Application Delivery and AMS.
Responsible for the Service lifecycle (delivering value, facilitating outcomes to the business, owning cost of providing the service and managing and mitigating related risks) - often in partnership with a product team such as Digital Business Solutions.
Provides reporting and metrics on performance of the service and identifies root causes of failures.
Accountable to perform the activities for Application Ownership per Aon Standards.
Identifies and recruits talent and assists in defining future talent needs with full HR responsibilities for employee direct reports.
Managing resourcing needs with budget responsibility while ensuring services are delivered in accordance with agreed upon business requirements.
Responsible for following the standards for internal and external compliance of products and services to licensing, security, and audit framework.
Adheres to established technology framework.
Provides input and collaborates on a strategic roadmap for Services in scope and assigned deliveries against this.
Develops or provides input into cases to enhance the service, reassess service level targets, or minimize risk of failure; and ensures the investment received connects with service improvement measures.
Partners on Development of a roadmap for multiple technologies related to an IT service, which matches new technologies to emerging business requirements, accommodates activities to maintain the technical viability, prioritizes retirement based on business risk, and surfaces cross-platform dependencies. Develops a basic platform roadmap related to IT service, including timelines for technology adoption, refresh, and retirement.
Leads the design and review of technology solutions.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
Experience working with Scrum or other Agile development processes.
A basic understanding of one or more common databases, Operating systems, Cloud platform etc.
Understanding of data security and standard processes for balancing availability with security.
Experience coordinating, planning and organizing upgrades of systems and technology.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems or related field.
Ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience handling/advising software development projects and/or teams.

Pay Transparency Laws:
The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $110,000 - $135,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.
This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
