Job Summary and Qualifications
The Director of Facilities Management will be responsible for managing all maintenance technicians. This role supervises completion and continuation of preventive maintenance programs, as well as corrective maintenance on building equipment and grounds.
What you will do in this role:
- Manage activities of departments including clinical equipment contracted service.
- Participate in development and enforcement department/hospital policies and procedures, including hazard surveillance and incident reporting.
- Coordinate on-going data collection about deficiencies and opportunities for improvement in the environment of care.
- Coordinate on-going collection and dissemination of information from sources such as published hazard alerts and recall reports.
- Coordinate summaries of deficiencies, problems, failures, and user errors related to the managing the environment of care.
- Coordinate the preparation of summaries on findings, recommendations, actions taken, and results of PI activities.
- Assess compliance with the Life Safety Code and manages the Statement Conditions (SOC) when addressing survey-related deficiencies.
What qualifications you will need:
- Bachelors Degree required, degree in Industrial Technology preferred.
- Current Driver’s License required.
- CPI must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
- 5-10 years of maintenance program/facility management experience in a hospital or commercial/industrial setting required.
- Construction experience preferred.
- Knowledge of JCAHO EC standards and experience with at least 2 JCAHO surveys required.
