The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for the Small Groups Director position at Family Church is a leader with a strong commitment to discipleship and community building. The person who will thrive in this role possesses excellent pastoral and relational skills, a proven ability to disciple and develop leaders, and the organizational prowess to implement and manage a dynamic small groups ministry.
Key Responsibilities
- Function as the overall leader of all Family Church groups, coaching and equipping group leaders to perform their leadership duties and responsibilities successfully.
- Develop and execute an annual group growth plan, including recruiting and training small group leaders and participants.
- Oversee and implement training and discipleship methods to ensure continuous improvement in discipling small groups.
- Work with the adult ministries team to develop and/or select curricula and tools that align with Family Church’s vision.
- Plan and execute regular group connection events to bridge the relational gap between whole church gatherings and small groups.

- Display the ability to disciple, coach, and develop leaders.
- Pastoral and relational skills to care for, shepherd, and relate to leaders and small group participants.
