Overview:
The mission of the Director, Channel Sales, is to lead a team of Territory Managers. This position will be responsible to drive top line revenue growth through the delivery of comprehensive security solutions through our channel partners and direct touch organizations. The director of channel sales will be the driving force with a solid channel development mindset along with strong leadership skills, and a relentless passion that will help lead a team to expand and grow revenue within the channel. The leader will be expected to operate across functional lines to identify and execute on new growth opportunities through a blend of partner development, strategic partnerships, high-touch sales, and creative marketing.
Responsibilities:
- Manages the sale of the organization’s products or services through the distribution/retail sales channel (sales to distributors/dealers/agents or sales to retailers) on a national or geographic basis.
- Participates with senior management to establish strategic plans and objectives.
- Makes final decisions on implementation and ensures operational effectiveness.
- Effectively cascades functional strategy and contributes to development of organizational policies.
- Accountable for actions that impact function or multiple department budgets.
- Works on complex issues where problems are not clearly defined and where fundamental principles do not fully apply.
- Translates business segment strategy into functional plans and guides execution.
- Participates in corporate development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people.
- Ensures budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements.
- Contributes to development of strategies of a function or multi departments.
- Interacts with senior management, executives, and/or major customers which frequently involves negotiating matters of significance to the organization.
- Reconciles multiple stakeholder views to drive business results.
- Directs the activities of a functional area or multiple integrated departments through lower management.
- Leads team(s) to develop new methods and solve complex matters.
Requirements:
- Experience working in mid/large corporations with various point of interaction globally.
- Proven success building models to add value to MSSPs and Value Added Distributors.
- Ability to identify partner needs through dialogue, and appropriately map relevant SonicWall products and services.
- Strong, existing partner relationship network.
- Solid understanding of advanced cybersecurity concepts.
- Portuguese and Spanish is a must.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and highly execution focused.
- Highly motivated with strong interpersonal skills.
- Team oriented.
Education and Experience:
- 10 years of experience creating ARR / MRR follow up models with Channels in Emerging Markets.
- 5+ years of management experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
