Position: CRNA or Anesthesiology Assistant - (2400044Q)
Responsibilities:
- Interview patients and review essential data to verify patient readiness for anesthetic.
- Assist in the education of patients and families regarding the anesthetic plan and potential risks.
- Prepare patients by starting appropriate access lines and initiating appropriate therapies preoperatively.
- Prepare the equipment and drugs needed to perform the planned anesthetic.
- Assist with induction, maintenance, and emergence phases of the anesthetic plan in accordance with the Anesthesia Care Team guidelines.
- Ensure the safe transport of the patient to the appropriate postoperative area and provide for a smooth transition of care to the postoperative nursing staff.
- Perform functions necessary to establish and secure adequate ventilation, including intubation for patients throughout the institution as a member of the resuscitation team.

- Abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct, and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
Qualifications:
CRNA (RN & AANA) Ohio State Nursing Board Certificate of Authority, AANA Certification.
