Summary:
Arkansas Health Group (AHG) employs approximately 700 physicians and advanced practice providers in the Baptist Health System across 12 hospitals and >120 clinical practice groups. The Physician Leadership Team consists of the Chief Medical Officer, Medical Director of Specialties, and Medical Director of Primary Care and the Medical Director Quality, Information and Compliance (QIC).
The QIC Medical Director must be a physician with board certification in his/her primary discipline and have > 5 years experience in clinical practice and significant experience in medical informatics, quality improvement and/or compliance. Board certification in Medical Informatics is preferred. A master's degree in business or health administration, or public health is not required but would bring a management acumen to the role.
The QIC MD is an integral member of the AHG management team, responsible for interfacing with participating provider practices, AHG Sr. Leadership & Health System/Hospital Leadership for mission-critical programs and projects in integrated health delivery.
Minimum Requirements:
Doctorate degree in Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine
Board Certification in primary discipline
> 5 years practice experience
Extensive experience in Medical Informatics, Quality Improvement, and/or Compliance. Board certification in Medical Informatics is preferred.
This job will be authorized 80.00 hours bi-weekly.
