Major, Lindsey & Africa’s Interim Legal Talent group has an immediate need for an Interim Commercial Contracts Counsel.
Overview: MLA is seeking a highly-skilled commercial contracts attorney to join our client’s dynamic in-house legal team on a contract basis. Candidates should have seven to ten years of experience reviewing, drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements. A successful candidate will also have significant experience developing and managing contract management processes and collaborating with key business leaders.

Location: Lisle, IL Hybrid 3 days in office
Responsibilities Include:
- Draft, review, redline and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements with original equipment manufacturers and vendors for goods and services related to the supply of components for incorporation into products for the automotive, medical, defense and industrial end markets.
- Negotiate terms directly with customers/vendors and work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to draft and negotiate commercial agreements, such as vendor agreements, supply agreements, MSAs, joint agreements, licensing agreements, confidentiality agreements, warehouse agreements, terms and conditions of supply and other arrangements.
- Lead the process of developing and implementing a contract managing and archiving process.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications Include:
- J.D. from an accredited law school; licensed to practice in the US.
- 7 to 10 years of experience drafting, revising and negotiating high-volume commercial contracts as an in-house counsel.
- Experience working on a wide variety of commercial contracts such as vendor agreements, supply agreements, MSAs, joint agreements, licensing agreements, confidentiality agreements, warehouse agreements, terms and conditions of supply and other arrangements.
- Strong experience developing and managing contract management processes.
- Ability to operate independently, issue-spot, and negotiate with minimal supervision.
- Strong sense of ownership of work product and ability to proactively anticipate needs of the legal department and business units.
- Experience handling matters in corporate transactions, employment, real estate, and/or global compliance is a plus.
Pay Rate: $100 - $108
