VA Central California Health Care System is currently seeking a full-time Psychiatrist for our Mental Health Service. The psychiatrist will work with an interdisciplinary team of Psychologists, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, and several other allied mental health professionals. The mix of responsibilities will include administrative and clinical duties. The Veteran population is diverse with many mental health related issues to include but not limited to Anxiety Disorders, Mood Disorders, Severe Mental Illness, Substance Use Disorders, and medical co-morbidities.
The Central California Health Care System is a core training site for the University of California San Francisco, Fresno Medical Education Residency Program. With a faculty appointment, opportunities for resident supervision, teaching, and clinical research will be available. This position also has an academic appointment with University of California San Francisco UCSF. Licensure: Full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory.
U.S. Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
Expected salary: Ranges from $250,000 to $300,000.
May include: Up to $15,000 in Annual Performance Bonus.
Candidates may be eligible for: A Sign-on Bonus.
Tax Free: May be eligible to apply for the Education Debt Reduction Program and, if approved, receive up to $200k in school loan repayment Tax Free.
