The Role
Since its inception, Axiom has set the standard for providing phenomenal legal talent globally. The Director/Vice President of Talent Acquisition continues this tradition and sets a new standard while leading a team across the Globe. You’ll have an opportunity to develop new recruitment strategies, cultivate cross functional partnerships, and continue to fine tune our already unparalleled recruitment process.
Specifically, this role will:
- Lead the evolution and development of strategic processes for attracting, evaluating and winning top (typically not “in play”) talent in North America, the UK, and Central Europe
- Define what a best-in-class candidate experience looks like for lawyers
- Develop and oversee a robust and efficient hiring process that is fair and unbiased
- Craft and refine a compelling and effective employment branding strategy
- Collaborate with leaders in the sales org to best understand the company’s hiring needs in the short and long term
- Develop and analyze our talent acquisition metrics to identify trends and variances to inform processes and strategy
- Manage a team doing full-cycle recruitment in varied locations, including outside major metro areas
- Lead and develop the talent acquisition team--serving as a coach and mentor--and oversee the hiring, development, performance and engagement of your team

- An ideal candidate will possess 8-12+ years of progressive Talent Experience.
- Strength in talent sourcing and proactive recruiting, specifically with attorneys or within the legal industry, will be highly valued.
- Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, teach and develop others
- Exceptional maturity and judgment in coaching staff and managers on making talent decisions
- Roll up your sleeves and get it done mentality required.
- Mindset that is action oriented and focuses on solving business-related challenges via people solutions.
- Identification with and connection to Axiom’s core values a must.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (in business or law) desirable
Axiom’s total rewards philosophy is to be transparent and equitable with all job candidates. The annual base salary range for this role at Director level in Chicago is $125,000-$130,000. You will also be eligible to participate in our Quarterly Bonus Plan which on target would be 40% of your base salary for a Director level role in our Talent Recruitment business unit. Please note that the final compensation is determined by several considerations, including the quality of your experience and expertise, your ability to immediately contribute to Axiom, your potential to move up to the next level, the market you are located in, and other business considerations.
