Helen DeVos Children's Hospital (HDVCH) is seeking to hire board certified or board eligible child & adolescent psychiatrists on a per diem basis to support our pediatric medical psychiatry unit, opening this spring. This new 12-bed unit will be the first of its kind in Michigan.
Coverage opportunities include:
- Onsite Saturday & Sunday pediatric medical psychiatric unit coverage - admissions and rounding on current patients
- Offsite weekly overnight call coverage
For child psychiatrists outside of our local area we are able to provide support with travel and accommodations.

HDVCH is a state-of-the-art, globally integrated, 241-bed free standing dedicated children's hospital located on the campus of Corewell Health in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Annually, there are 8760 inpatient and 124,600 ambulatory visits, as well as over 55,185 children seen in the Pediatric Emergency Department (Level 1 Trauma rated). HDVCH also has one of the nation's largest NICU's (108-beds).

- Required Bachelor's Degree
- LIC-Physician (MD) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required Or
- LIC-Osteopathic Physician (DO) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
- CRT-DEA Registration - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 120 Days required Or
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 120 Days required
- CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA American Heart Association If required by specialty or stress test performed 120 Days required
