Seeking an Insurance Portfolio Manager that will become part of the General Account FI Portfolio Management team that is focused on driving value for the fixed income assets for the General Account. The candidate will be responsible for managing individual multi asset portfolios supporting various insurance product lines, while working with the team ensuring the overall strategic General Account portfolio goals are successful.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage activities of responsible portfolios with the scope of maximizing yield/returns achievable within a capital efficient framework and maintain a proper risk profile.
- Dynamically manage allocations across different asset classes based on cash flow, asset allocation needs, Asset/Liability profile, market conditions and adherence to the overall business plan.
- Incorporate all aspects of Insurance Portfolio management process, including performance attribution, risk exposures, NII projections, stress sensitivities to establish feedback loops with asset management team to drive portfolio value.
- Work independently and collaboratively with a group of seasoned professionals to guide, consult, and influence business asset allocation and investment decisions, keep product pricing and in force business competitive and seek findings to optimize asset and sector allocations.
- Employ and assist in enhancing relative value frameworks to identify tactical asset opportunities that consider portfolio goals and constrains from an asset allocation, market, insurance, and balance sheet perspective.
- Coordinate with ALM group, trading, derivatives, and risk management to ensure alignment with business goals and parameters.
What You’ll Bring:
- An undergraduate degree is required preferably with a concentration in Finance, Economics.
- A bachelor's degree is required, with a focus in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Science, Math, or Technology, along with 7+ years of experience in the Insurance or Asset Management industry.
- Experience managing complex cross-sector insurance portfolios, including fixed income, real estate, and private credit.
- Demonstrated ability to think independently and adopt innovative approaches to investment and asset allocation strategies, particularly in insurance portfolio management.
- Expertise in analyzing various fixed income products, evaluating risk factors, assessing their impact on valuations, and synthesizing information to make timely and confident decisions.
- Familiarity with insurance general account investing and portfolio management, considering balance sheet, capital, and risk constraints.
- Capability to navigate and collaborate within large, matrixed organizations with multiple decision-makers and stakeholders.
Nice to Have:
- Experience using Python.
- Ability to navigate through complex problems.
Pay Transparency
Salary Range: $120,000-$205,000
Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
