Leading Home Care is the leading home and community-based services (HCBS) provider for Medicaid waiver services in Louisiana. We are looking for an experienced, talented and accomplished Director to lead the growth and expansion of the company’s presence in the Marksville, LA area. HCBS companies provide opportunities for Medicaid beneficiaries to receive home care services in their home rather than in institutions or nursing homes. These programs serve a variety of population groups including elderly, Veterans with VA benefits, and people with intellectual or developmental disabilities, physical disabilities or other illnesses.
Ideal applicants will have HCBS experience or other medical, home health or hospice experience, or proven leadership and operational experience with managing and leading teams responsible for sales, marketing and growth of other community type services.

Responsibilities of the Director:
- Under the direction of the Northern Area Director & the Core Leadership Team, the Director is responsible for supervision and management of the branch office and is accountable for monitoring the services provided by the Company.
- Supervise client care & staffing functions to ensure client safety and well-being.
- Monitor documentation to ensure compliance with the standards and guidelines established by LDH, Medicaid, and the Company.
- Manage administrative staff to ensure standards are met regarding performance, conduct, job duties, professionalism, etc.
- Promote and add to the growth of the Company in the local community through excellent service and building relationships.
- Participate in client intakes, creation of plans of care, reporting incidents, investigating potential abuse or neglect, and conducting supervisory visits.
- Properly document all client communications, care plan or medical changes, visit notes, or incidents.
- Communicate frequently with clients, families, and other affiliates to answer questions, resolve issues, and ensure satisfaction with services.
- Participate in emergency preparedness planning & protocols.
- Inform and consult with the Director of Human Resources on employee questions and policy.
- Accept 24/7 responsibility for the operations of the branch and be available to assist employees in dealing with crisis situations.
- Be organized and consistent with proper documentation procedures.
- Establish and maintain a professional and open line of communication with affiliates of the Company.
- Additional tasks as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree --OR-- more than 10 years of experience in the HCBS field, including management experience
- 3+ years of experience in providing care to the elderly or to adults with disabilities (HCBS, case management, or other medical, home health, or hospice services) -- OR proven leadership and operational experience with managing and leading teams in other industries
- Basic computer skills including Windows & Microsoft Office, and the capacity to operate office equipment
- Basic addition/subtraction and general analytical skills
- Valid driver's license, auto insurance, vehicle inspection, and reliable personal transportation; willingness to transport clients in personal vehicle
- Must be able to read, write, and follow instructions in English
- Must satisfactorily pass all required and applicable State & Federal eligibility verifications including background, driver's license, and other required screenings
- Physical requirements include stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, and climbing stairs. Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50lbs (carrying files/boxes, assisting with client lifts/transfers, etc.)
- The ability to interact on a professional level with LHCL clients and their families, DSWs and representatives of other community-based organizations.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
