Job Description
The Group Director, Client Leadership is a true partner to client and champion of our business. They are essential for ensuring project success, balancing the needs of both client and internal stakeholders.
This role requires close collaboration with cross-business counterpoints and serves as client contact. You will champion strategic and creative experiential programming to be executed at scale nationally. You will show a passion for the brand and category and easily navigate a fast, ever-evolving environment.
This role will report into the VP, Client Leadership.
- Builds and sustains relationships with senior-level clients, becoming the client's trusted strategic partner.
- Strategic thinker capable of leading the brand’s strategy with stakeholders including internal and external agency partners.
- Lead teams through strategic development and creative ideation.
- Think collaboratively and leverage various disciplines in the agency to present client brand-building opportunities and agency-building initiatives.
- Build bridges across our network, and client business units.
- Establish and seamlessly integrate cross-functional teams to deliver dynamic client work.
- Anticipate project and/or client needs to always be one step ahead daily of what needs to be accomplished.
- Operationally support the Field Marketing operations to bring strategic brand programming to life nationally.
- Identify client issues and work with our agency partners to provide solutions.
- Collaborate with agency partners as an IAT leader.
- Create applicable development plans for direct reports.
- Inspire agency and client confidence and seek opportunities to advance the client relationship.
- Empower teams through engaging career development practices; maximize learning and productivity while minimizing turnover.
- In partnership with Portfolio Lead/SVP/VP oversee client financials and account profitability.
- Provides leadership on agency delivery; ensures all deliverables are produced on time, on budget, and meet the client's expectations.
- Set regional strategy and creative programming for client programs.
- Develop and maintain appropriate levels of communication with the client, internal team members, vendors, properties, partners, and staff to ensure proper coordination of all program components and deliverables.
- Contribute to program recaps, analyzing and evaluating data and performance.
- Socialize success and opportunities via program recaps, utilizing data and insights for real-time measurement & evaluation, event strategies and project plans/ volume phasing.
- Share industry and competitive activity to keep the brand at the forefront of developments.
- This job requires infrequent travel dependent on programming and client need.
Qualifications
- 10-12 years of experience in experiential marketing.
- Beverage alcohol industry experience.
- 3-5 years in supervisory role.
- Must possess an entrepreneurial spirit; exhibiting passion, ambition, hard work, and leadership to drive commercial success.
- Results-driven and detail-oriented project management expert.
- Experience with complex categories / regulated industries and can solve complex problems.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Self-disciplined and flexible self-starter, with confidence and drive to work independently and meet all project deadlines, including frequently working outside normal business hours.
- Strong budget skills and experience with financial planning and forecasting.
- Proficient in Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets), Keynote, PowerPoint.
Additional Information
The anticipated salary range for this position is $113,000 - $182,850. Salary is based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law.
