Job Title: Buyer Development Account Director
As a Buyer Development Account Director, you will drive partner relationships and data analyses with Brands, Buyers, Agencies, and Consultancies who leverage OpenX ad technology and services for transacting their brand’s campaigns via the open exchange and programmatic deal IDs. This person will be responsible for increasing revenue with existing partners and achieving revenue targets by owning all post-sale aspects of OpenX’s client relationships. This includes curating premium inventory & data segments, pitching new products, managing deals and reporting, troubleshooting, identifying yield & performance opportunities, upselling/cross-selling, and post-campaign performance wrap-ups through both virtual and in-person client interaction. This role will report to the Director of Account Management, Buyer Development.
We are seeking high achievers to build indispensable relationships with OpenX partners. This person will need to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Buyer Development Account Directors must be able to execute business and operational initiatives seamlessly to deliver and exceed the performance objectives of brand/agency relationships. The Buyer Development Account Director will have extensive knowledge of the OpenX Products & Platform and should be able to advise partners on the ideal transactional setup for the highest level of performance. In the OpenX Buyer Development team, we strive to exceed partner expectations through building, supporting, and maintaining long-term win-win relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Work in conjunction with the Buyer Development Sales Team to build, create and launch high-performing premium deals within the OpenX Platform through premium segments of inventory for OpenX’s Brands, Buyers, and Agencies.
- Drive and own a revenue target with existing brands and agency partners by identifying and implementing scalable deal processes, KPI optimizations, upsell opportunities, and more.
- Have extensive knowledge of the OpenX Products & Platform with the ability to strategically upsell our offerings, and advise partners on the ideal transactional setup for the highest level of performance.
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients post-sale, including consulting on deal setup, answering questions about product, delivering performance results, and exploring new areas for growth within the partnership.
- Quarterback all troubleshooting and optimization needs, collaborating with deal operations, solutions engineering, and product to ensure deals are transacting properly and succeeding against clients' KPIs.
- Lead key short and long-term initiatives contributing to the overall revenue growth, sales efficiency, and profitability of OpenX and build cross-functional relationships with stakeholders from non-sales organizations like Product, Marketing, Finance, etc.
- Work with the larger Buyer Development Sales Team, Directors of Account Management, and Regional Vice Presidents to continue building a transparent, actionable, data-driven Account Management process.
- Travel as necessary to hold in-person meetings, QBRs, and entertainment with clients in order to build trust and strengthen partnerships.
- May serve as a player-coach to an Account Coordinator or Account Manager.
Requirements And Skills
- 7-10 years of relevant experience in digital advertising operations, publisher monetization and yield management, and digital advertising technology sales or services.
- Strong relationship management skills and operational experience in leading multiple cross-functional teams to achieve a business objective.
- Strong operational knowledge of online advertising industry, advertiser campaign objectives, and RTB / programmatic ecosystems.
- Proven ability to carry and deliver against large revenue quotas.
- Sales acumen - Have the ability to understand client needs, and present OpenX’s solutions in a persuasive manner both in conjunction with, and independent of, your sales counterparts.
- Excel at in-person client interactions, such as pitch meetings, QBRs, and client entertainment, independent of your sales counterparts.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, tasks, and responsibilities concurrently; ability to consistently set and meet deadlines.
- Self-starter with attention to detail who thrives on innovation and driving ideas forward – Effective problem solver.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to present complex subjects in a simple and concise manner.
Salary
$120,000 - $140,000 a year
