North America (NA) AI Center within Samsung Research leads at the forefront of innovation in creating intelligent and interactive technologies. North America AI Center takes on grand scientific and engineering challenges in machine learning and artificial intelligence, and actively contributes to the international research community through scientific publications and presentations in major conferences and journals in several research areas, including but not limited to, computer vision, camera and imaging technologies, robotics, multimodal modeling, conversational AI, health, and new emerging areas where AI is applied. The AIC is a key part of Samsung’s global R&D effort and aims to have influence on future Samsung products reaching hundreds of millions of users worldwide.
Responsibilities:
- Support and partner with the SVP in various day-to-day activities
- Serve as independent proxy and key point of communication for SVP
- Coordinate with internal teams and across Samsung to further team initiatives and goals
- Manage and maintain executive's Outlook calendar, including scheduling appointments, meetings, and conferences; prioritizing the most sensitive matters
- Coordinate and oversee meetings and events, including logistics, venue booking, catering arrangements, and preparation of materials
- Develop executive-level meeting agendas and presentations, highlighting key strategic topics and succinctly analyzing relevant current events across technology and media
- Prepare reports and briefings for executive decision-making
- Lead a small team including executive assistant, finance & operations specialist
- Facilitate internal/external events and all-hands events for teams
- Contribute to establishing organizational culture
- Define and execute organizational processes with minimal input and guidance
- Build, maintain, and navigate relationships with members internal and external to Samsung, and stakeholders on behalf of the SVP.
Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in finance, business administration, or equivalent
- 10+ years of specific Chief of Staff work experience, preferably in technology in addition to other similar work experience
- Strong track record of delivering world-class analysis and presentations
- Outstanding written and spoken communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
- Ability to think strategically, meet deadlines, and with attention to detail
- Ability to travel extensively, both domestically and abroad
- Global mindset, flexible work style and comfort with ambiguity
- Growth mindset to learn new skills in technology and product development
- Positive attitude, self-starter, and high emotional intelligence (EQ)
- Overseas project or work experience, and cross-functional expertise is a plus
Compensation:
The base pay range for roles at this level is listed below, but may be higher or lower in other states due to geographic differentials in the labor market. Within the base pay range, individual rates depend on a number of factors—including the role’s function and location as well as the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, education and training. This is part of our comprehensive compensation package with annual bonus eligibility and generous benefits to help you live life well.
Base Pay Range: $153,700 — $230,750 USD
