About the Role:

What You'll Do:
- Leadership & Strategy:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive video content strategy that supports Sezzle’s marketing and brand initiatives.
- Lead and manage the video production team, providing creative direction, mentoring, and ensuring high standards of production quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify video content opportunities that drive engagement, customer acquisition, and brand awareness.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continually enhance the video production process.
Production Management:
- Oversee the entire video production process, including pre-production (concept development, scripting, storyboarding), production (shooting, directing), and post-production (editing, color grading, sound design).
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to ensure timely delivery of high-quality video content.
- Coordinate with external vendors, freelancers, and contractors as needed for specialized production requirements.
Creative Development:
- Develop original video concepts that align with Sezzle’s brand voice and messaging, ensuring consistency across all platforms.
- Experiment with different video formats, including promotional videos, product demos, customer testimonials, social media content, and live-streaming events.
- Incorporate feedback from stakeholders while maintaining the creative integrity of the projects.
Technical Expertise:
- Operate and maintain video production equipment, including cameras, lighting, and audio gear, ensuring all equipment is up-to-date and in good working order.
- Utilize video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) and motion graphics tools (e.g., After Effects) to create polished final products.
- Ensure all video content is optimized for various platforms (e.g., website, social media, YouTube) and adheres to best practices for video SEO.
Performance Analysis:
- Monitor and analyze the performance of video content, using data-driven insights to refine strategies and improve engagement metrics.
- Report on video performance to senior leadership, providing recommendations for future projects and initiatives.
What We Look For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media Production, Communications, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in video production, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of video content, including promotional videos, branded content, and social media campaigns.
- Proficient in video production software and equipment, including Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects), cameras, lighting, and audio equipment.
- Excellent storytelling skills with a keen eye for visual aesthetics and detail.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in the fintech or e-commerce industry is a plus.

Compensation: The compensation range for the role is $90k-$110k OTE including base and variable. Our ranges are very broad to accommodate all types of candidates and encourage growth. Specific compensation offered to a candidate may be dependent on factors such as education, experience, qualifications, and alignment with market data. Exceptional candidates may receive salaries outside of the posted ranges.
