Overview:
IDG is seeking a Finance Product Owner to join our IT Enterprise Applications team. You will play a pivotal role in overseeing the technology strategy and implementation of systems and tools that support our finance and procurement functions. You will lead a team of IT professionals including business analysts, application developers, project managers, and application support analysts, ensuring alignment with business objectives and effective delivery of solutions across the Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, and Order-to-Cash process domains.
As part of the transformation effort at IDG, this role will have experience in designing business workflows, architecting, and implementing business solutions. They will lead the Global ERP (Microsoft D365) implementation, interacting with the project manager, system implementor, business stakeholders, workstream leads, developers, and members of the senior leadership team, as appropriate. This role will be critical in transforming the finance and procurement functions, and require strong leadership and strategic thinking.
This role is based at our Needham MA location with a hybrid work schedule to come into the office 1-2 days per week. (We will also consider qualified candidates 100% remote in an approved US (East Coast) location.)
Responsibilities:
- Manage a growing team, comprised of Business Analysts, Application Developers, Project Managers, and Application Support resources.
- Directly oversee the planning and implementation of our Global ERP (Microsoft D365) and enhancement of finance technology stack, ensuring effective integration and functionality across all relevant departments.
- Assess the current state technology capabilities and maturity across R2R, P2P, and O2C, and lead the development and execution of the technology roadmap for finance and procurement systems, defining the short- and long-term roadmaps.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to define and prioritize business initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
- Manage and mentor a team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Drive system optimizations and enhancements to streamline processes and improve efficiency within finance and procurement operations.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on finance and procurement systems, providing guidance and support to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve issues, mitigate risks, and ensure successful project delivery.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, computer science, computer engineering, or a related field of study, or equivalent experience; 8+ years of ERP experience.
- Proven experience in a similar role within a complex organizational setting, with a strong understanding of finance and procurement processes.
- 3+ years experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP (otherwise 8-10 years experience with large-scale ERP implementations and platform management).
- Demonstrated experience in creating requirements specifications based on Architecture/ Design / Detailing of ERP Business Processes.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Understanding of the entire SDLC, DevOps, and various technology delivery methods for implementing SaaS applications for business functions (with relevant experience in Finance and Procurement).
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
- Experience with the Microsoft Power Platform preferred.
- Knowledge in web services XML, Azure Platforms (Azure SQL, Data Lake), SharePoint, and Power BI preferred.
- Experience managing and leading teams of 5-8 IT professionals, including business analysts, developers, project managers, and application support analysts.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results within established timelines and budgets (PMI, PMP Agile/Scrum Certified preferred).
- Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Salary range and additional compensation, including discretionary bonuses and incentive pay, are determined by a rigorous review process. The expected total annual compensation, depending on location and experience, is between $202,000 and $220,000 and is inclusive of base salary and variable compensation (if applicable).
