Providence is currently looking for a strong multi-tasker with excellent communication and organization skills to take on the role of Financial Controller. The Financial Controller provides superior customer service through written and verbal communication while performing job duties that may include changing priorities and short deadlines. This candidate should have strong administrative proficiency consisting of attention to detail, a sense of responsibility and initiative, computer proficiency (Microsoft Office/Google Suite), and a professional attitude.
Responsibilities and desired skills include:
- Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports that are appropriate for the users and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Drive the billing department of the organization by working with the existing electronic medical record system(s) or private billing systems- billing for all service lines (Home Health, Private Duty and Hospice); Working in concert with Director of Clinical Services, Home Health Administrator, Hospice Administrator and Private Duty Director
- Prepare all supporting information for the annual audit with the approval external auditor
- Establish/maintain procedures to ensure proper internal controls are in place to effectively mitigate risks
- Document and maintain complete and accurate supporting information for all financial transactions
- Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash; Administrative expense payables/budget activities
- Reconcile bank accounts and manage cash flow
- Review monthly results and implement monthly variance reporting as compared to budget
- Manage cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts
- Manage the bookkeeping functions
- Develop and implement policies and procedures as required to ensure that personnel and financial information is secure
- Assist with reviewing vendor contracts
- Part of the Leadership Team of the company- keeping team members abreast of the current financial health of the company and involved in strategic growth discussions
- Ability to work independently, prioritize work flow with the aptitude of working well in a collaborative environment with coworkers
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting; MBA/MHA Preferred
- 5+ years of Healthcare billing experience
- 2+ years Home Health experience, supervisory experience preferred
- Knowledge of state and federal Home Health regulations
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication
- Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance and reliable transportation
- Advanced working knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft Office

Pay: $20.00 - $50.00 per hour
