About the role
The Sr. Staff Trade Compliance Analyst is a critical team member of ZT Systems import/export compliance function. The successful candidate will combine their knowledge of trade compliance & regulations with data analysis expertise to ensure ZT’s trade compliance program delivers on its business goals, ensuring compliance and minimizing cost.
Responsibilities
- Support ZT Supply Chain Function to resolve export classification issues. Provide accurate classifications by working closely with procurement, engineering, and finance teams.
- Ensure Global Compliance to Export Administration Regulations.
- Lead projects including Country of Origin (COO) process improvement to minimize missing COO data & support end customer requirements.
- Enable accurate & timely import classifications by working with customs brokers, vendors, and procurement functions.
- Design, develop, and maintain critical Trade Compliance reporting and analysis related to ZT’s parts & components, HTS B / ECCN reporting requirements, and HTS US classifications.
- Develop analysis to be used by the executive team, outlining inventory position, spend, shortage, where used exposure, and other key metrics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting or similar degree programs.
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in freight forwarding, ocean/air logistics, international transportation or E-commerce preferred.
- Knowledge of AES & Export Reporting function.
- Exposure to International goods movement & transportation requirements including INCOTERMS, Hazardous Materials Transport and Global Electronic Waste Regulations beneficial.
- Knowledge of Import & Export Compliance Classification and Reporting Functions including HTS B and ECCN (Export), and HTS US.
- Expertise with data analysis and reporting tools including Advanced Excel, Tableau, SQL.
- Familiarity working with ERP systems in a manufacturing or distribution environment including SysPro, SAP, Agile.
- Expertise with Data Warehouse reporting environments, including creation of models based on warehouse extracts.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate across multi-functional teams, align disparate data, and drive alignment.
- Strong analytical skills, including descriptive, diagnostic, and predictive analysis.
- Detail oriented, motivated to execute in a dynamic business environment managing multiple activities.
