Do you have deep human resources experience and a passion for training and helping others? If so, we may be looking for you! We’re recruiting a human resources director for US VisionMed Partners. This role is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the human resource function. Working in collaboration with the COO and CFO, the HR director coordinates activities that drive company culture and ensure the identification, training, and retention of talent.
US VisionMed Partners (USVMP) is a management company formed to advance specialty eye care services for optometric practices. Headquartered in Dallas, TX, they have practices in several states that they support with marketing, purchasing, operational expertise, financial administration, leadership, and staff training programs.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, SHRM certification, and relevant experience.
- Past employment in at least one of the following positions: human resources manager, director, or vice president.
- Demonstrated expertise in working with multi-location/multi-state healthcare entities.
- Proven experience reporting to cross-functional leaders.
- At least 5 years’ experience processing payroll and managing employee benefits programs.
- A work history that includes writing policies, development of training programs, and maintaining up-to-date human resource records.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and expansion/growth initiatives.
- Experience in HR compliance and coaching, mentoring, and developing directors and executives.
- Experience in business data analysis and reporting.

- Comprehensive regulatory knowledge of HR issues.
- Resourcefulness to identify creative solutions.
- Familiarity with PEO systems; knowledge of Trinet PEO a plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops and administers various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel.
- Plans, organizes, and controls all activities of the department.
- Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
- Analyzes compensation; processes payroll; implements and updates the compensation program; conducts annual salary surveys and develops merit pool (salary budget).
- Rewrites job descriptions as necessary.
- Monitors the performance evaluation program and revises as necessary.
- Develops, recommends, and implements personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains handbook on company policies.
- Works with CFO to identify benefits programs. Oversees the enrollment process and implementation; coordinates with brokers and/or administrators.
- Maintains reporting as required by the EEOC.
- Oversees talent acquisition and works in collaboration with practice-level managers to identify and successfully onboard new employees (including writing and placing job postings and training others on interviewing).
- Prepares and updates necessary HR forms.
- Monitors career-path program and employee relations counseling.
- Conducts exit interviews.
- Establishes and maintains department records and reports.
- Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings relevant to human resource issues.
- Prepares necessary HR reports and key metric information for human resource decisions.
- Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Works with operations team for integration of new practices.
The base salary range for this position is $130,000, dependent upon skills and experience.
