Aero Air is the parent company of Erickson Aero Tanker (EAT). EAT operates year-round firefighting operations - USFS MAP (Mandatory Assignment Period) dates can fluctuate from year to year based on allocations and fire conditions.
We are seeking experienced Aerial Firefighting Tanker Pilots in Command to join our team!

MD-87 Pilot in Command
Requirements:
- Airline Transport Pilot or Commercial Certificate with Instrument Rating (Multiengine Land).
- Current First or Second-Class medical.
- Minimum 4,000 hours Total Flight Time.
- Minimum 2,000 hours Pilot in Command (airplane).
- Minimum 200 hours multiengine PIC.
- Minimum 100 hours multiengine PIC in aircraft greater than 12,500 lbs.
- Minimum 200 hours low level (typical terrain).
- Minimum 100 hours PIC in the preceding 12 months.
- Previous or current USFS AKP or AKI rating.
Preferred:
MD-87 Second in Command
Requirements:
- Airline Transport Pilot or Commercial Certificate with Instrument Rating (Multiengine Land).
- Current First or Second-Class medical.
- Minimum 1,000 hours Total Flight Time.
- Minimum 500 hours Pilot in Command (airplane).
- Minimum 200 hours multiengine time.
Preferred:
- Jet type rating.
- Low level time.
The above positions also require:
- High School Diploma/GED and required certifications listed above.
- Valid U.S./state issued driver's license with clean driving record.
- Valid U.S. Passport.
- Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Flexible schedule with ability to travel.
- Successful completion and favorable results of pre-employment drug screen and criminal history background check.
- Maintains reliable, regular, and predictable attendance.
- Adhere to all Aero Air policies and standards of conduct.
- Other duties as assigned.
