Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Program Medical Director for our Crisis Services division. In this leadership role, you will provide clinical supervision and guidance to psychiatric medical providers, oversee administrative operations, and ensure the delivery of high-quality mental health care in our Urgent Walk-In Clinic (UWIC) and other crisis services. This role requires a deep understanding of culturally responsive care, the ability to work effectively with high-acuity populations, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical supervision, leadership, and administrative direction to psychiatric medical providers within Crisis Services.
- Develop and implement protocols, standard operating procedures, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.
- Offer case consultation and coordinate care with internal and external providers to ensure comprehensive support for consumers.
- Conduct psychiatric assessments and manage medication for consumers in crisis, adhering to community standards and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with mandatory reporting laws, HIPAA requirements, and other relevant regulations.
- Lead and supervise direct report staff, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluation, while promoting diversity and cultural responsiveness.
- Collaborate with the Senior Director of Crisis Services on contract negotiations, budgeting, and strategic planning for crisis programs.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
Qualifications:
- Licensed medical professional (MD, DO, or PMHNP) with board certification or eligibility in psychiatric practice.
- Active, unrestricted medical license and DEA certification.
- Minimum of five years of experience in community mental health care, including at least two years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Proven ability to work with high-acuity populations and make clinically appropriate decisions in crisis settings.
- Experience with Trauma-Informed Care (TIC), evidence-based practices, and collaborative care models.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills, with a commitment to professional development and innovation.

- Physical demands include the ability to move about the clinic and respond swiftly to emergencies.
